The Corran Ferry runs continuously back and forth from 6.30am until 9.30pm (Monday– Saturday) Sunday 8.30am-9.30pm.

In the event of missing the last ferry there is an alternative road route via Fort William which adds about an hour to the journey.

Location

Kilcamb Cottages are situated on the Ardnamurchan peninsula, which is reached by taking the Corran Ferry from Nether Lochaber to Ardgour. The nearest town is Fort William, approximately 8 miles north of Nether Lochaber.

Directions from Edinburgh and Glasgow:

By road, head north from Edinburgh (M9 / A84 / A85) via Stirling and Callander, or Glasgow (A82) via Loch Lomond.

Both routes meet at Crianlarich where the A82 should be followed via Tyndrum, Glencoe and Ballachulish towards Fort William.

8 miles south of Fort William and just after the village of Onich, turn left at the sign post 'Corran Ferry' for the 3-minute crossing to Ardgour. Corran Ferry in winter

From Ardgour, follow the A861 to Strontian. Cross the stone bridge after the village square and turn immediately left, down the private driveway to the cottages.

Total journey time from Edinburgh or Glasgow is approximately 3 hours.

From other parts of the country, head for Fort William and follow the above directions from there.

Safe journey !
